The feud started with Zayn’s NXT debut, where he won a match against Cesaro, and then continued with a series of matches between them, including the 2 out of 3 falls match.
The 2 out of 3 falls match was a high-stakes affair, showcasing the technical skill and intensity of both wrestlers. It’s considered a classic match by many, including Zayn himself, who called it one of his proudest.

In a 2 out of 3 falls match, a wrestler needs to win two falls (or “pins”) to win the match. The match is typically structured into three falls, and the first wrestler to win two of those falls is declared the victor. The match can also end in a draw, especially if all three falls end in a time limit or other inconclusive manner. Some 2 out of 3 falls matches allow for KO/TKO to end the match

Zayn is a strong force as a new face in NXT, and Cesaro is the grizzled veteran who is trying to put Zayn in his place. After a very strong match that saw Zayn come out on the downside, the crowd was left stunned at what these two men did to each other in that ring. For Sami it created a future drive for victory that would lead him as far as the NXT Championship before he made his debut on the main roster and had ana amzing run that is still active.

The crowd loved the match and in classic NXT crowd fashion at times the were just chanting random things for periods of time during the match. Overall though they gave it a standing ovation and gave both men the respect they deserved for the war they had just gone thru for the crowds entertainment. As far as critical reaction i believe that every review i have ever read of the match gives it at least 4 stars…

This match will always be a instant classic and remembered as such…
It launched the career of Sami Zayn as far as a main eventer and solidified Cesaro as the man in NXT for the few months he was there before his main roster call up

If i believed in 5 star matches i would give it 5 stars, I will just say that the match should be used as a training video for up and coming wrestlers who want to learn about how to grab the crowds attention and how to tell a story in and out of the ring. Both men were compelling and had the crowd backing them at one point in the match.

I would have loved to see these two go at it for the WWE Championship at some point in their careers, but unfortunately it looks like that isn’t likely to happen. But the chemistry that these 2 had in the ring can only be matched by the likes of Zayn and Owens.
